About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager – Press Shop to lead and manage our press shop operations. The role requires strong expertise in metal forming, stamping, and tooling, along with leadership skills to drive productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily press shop production to achieve output and delivery targets.
- Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Maintain product quality as per standards; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Supervise and guide the production team, ensuring training and development.
- Coordinate with maintenance for machine/die upkeep and ensure zero downtime.
- Drive lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and process improvements.
- Ensure workplace safety, compliance, and 5S implementation.
- Prepare and present production reports and MIS.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) and trial runs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- 8–12 years of experience in Press Shop operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of press machines (mechanical & hydraulic), stamping, blanking, deep drawing, and die maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, TPM, and quality systems (ISO/IATF).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
